IR TV Review: THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT - EPISODE 4 (“The Gathering Storm”) [Lucasfilm/Disney+]
Writer Jon Favreau understands the larger world of Star Wars but his brush strokes are much broader and less uber-detailed oriented again than Dave Filoni is per se. Favreau sees the bigger tableau but the show needs to retain more watercooler elements in a way which "The Mandalorian" had.
IR TV Review: PEACEMAKER - EPISODES 1, 2 & 3 [HBO Max]
The essence of "Peacemaker" is the irony of what he is. As seen in "The Suicide Squad", he believes a certain thing and acts a certain way because it is who he is. And from the get go in Episode 1 of his spin-off series: "A Whole New Whirled", there is a slightly more empathetic approach to who he is despite the fact that he is a mess and an idiot on so many fronts.
IR TV Review: THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT - EPISODE 3 (“The Streets Of Mos Espa”) [Lucasfilm/Disney+]
The texture of power and loss continues to build in Episode 3 of "The Book Of Boba Fett" entitled "The Streets Of Mos Espa". Robert Rodriguez returns to helm this episode after sitting out Episode 2.
IR TV Review: STAR TREK - PRODIGY - EPISODE 7 (“First Con-tact”) [Paramount+]
The episode does point to the fact that sometimes your crew are the only ones you can count on...but it depends if it is for the right reasons. The integration of use of technology (specifically transporters) is nicely subtle while still showing the evolution of what is going on.
IR TV Review: STAR TREK - DISCOVERY - EPISODE 7 (“…But To Connect”) [Paramount+-S4]
The trevails of Episode 6 of "Star Trek: Discovery" actually introduced a different motif to the universe which actually comes about as a right turn in many ways to the ideals that were initially being discussed.
IR TV Review: THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT - EPISODE 1 (“Stranger In A Strange Land”) [Lucasfilm/Disney+]
The intention of path references maybe a second chance. The essence of "The Book Of Boba Fett" even in the first episode "Stranger In A Strange Land" goes right to the core of what fans want to know right off the bat.
IR TV Review: STAR TREK - DISCOVERY - EPISODE 6 (“Stormy Weather”) [Paramount+-S4]
The aspect of sacrifice often resounds in the nature of protection. While the 4th season of “Star Trek: Discovery” hasn't been as episodic as one would like, it does play into a certain aspect of the unknown depending on what lore one subscribes to.
IR TV Review: HAWKEYE - EPISODES 1 & 2 [Marvel/Disney+]
The crux of "Hawkeye" rests in the context of guilt and repercussion. While Episodes 1 & 2 simply set up the texture of what the fate of Clint Burton is or might be, it only infers at what might befall his track.
IR TV Review: STAR TREK - PRODIGY - EPISODE 5 (“Terra Firma”) [Paramount+]
The influence of betrayal versus acceptance becomes a more distinct pressure in Episode 5 of "Star Trek: Prodigy" entitled "Terra Firma" with the character of Gwyn coming face-to-face to a decision she needs to make.
