IR TV Review: STAR CITY - EPISODE 7 (“Plow Deep”) [Apple TV]

After the climactic moment of the previous episode, a slight time jump is always needed. The fallout of course gestated something different but also a unique distinction from the outside. The writers here as well as Ronald D. Moore understand that not everything should be explained. Lives keep going on while others are reserved to the annals of history. As we enter in Episode 7 titled "Plow Deep", Colonel Roskova continues to be an intriguing figure simply for her ability to compartmentalize. There is a change in leadership but not without blowback.

Motivation is necessary for inspiration as one scene depicts but the great thing with this series is how it can throw curveballs in a way. There is a new focus for the space program but one in a way that causes loopholes despite the party officials closing rank. The ironic aspect is nothing is done for the betterment of mankind but simply pushing the party save for The Grand Designer (the old one). But that character, like many in history, have had his time but his influence is far reaching. That is why the final moments, like all the last three episodes carry a shallow that leads to a cliff. And considering this is leading into the season finale, it will create an interesting bridge depending on if there is a jump and if the series continues to move onto multiple seasons. B+
