The interesting aspect of "Forbidden City" is its mix of Italian and Chinese to tell a story mostly set in Rome. The action optimizing Elisa Wong (known for the live action "Mulan") is fast and furious when it happens and yet the film is also balanced by the more cathartic Italian form of storytelling combined with a gangster picture. Written and directed by Gabriele Mainetti, it is an interesting mix since it moves different than a normal kung fu action film. There is a slickness and some Italian humor and yet retains a bit of the melodrama familiar in certain Far East cinema.

The basis for "The Equalizer" is in its name. The concept of quid pro quo despite an end game that is very finite. When we last saw McCall (literally in the middle of a storm), the idea was that the wolf will always be hunting. What is interesting in the forward plot of "The Equalizer 3" is the essence of human nature, including compassion, especially for a hit man in the time he finds himself.

With "A Classic Horror Story" those influences of certain American lore come full circle but the impact of history (especially in a place like Italy where this is made out of), the connotation has different impacts.
