The aspect of the franchise dealing with one family in certain ways like "The Conjuring" pushed the notion of the idea of The Red Door. What "Insidious: Out Of The Further" does is open the concept up a little bit though it still uses the consistency of Claire in Lin Shaye to anchor it. "Resident Evil" coming up faces a similar obstacle to overcome but Shaye’s presence is what allows the film to bridge into itself.

A tit-for-tat "Sniper"-type thriller hasn't been done in a while. While "Seven Snipers" has some story issues, its taut progression, effective acting and great use of a single location allows it to rise over others of its ilk despite some story issues. This has to do with the three leads, in Radha Mitchell, Ioan Gruffudd and Tim Roth. While the main face off is between Mitchell and Roth, Gruffudd, plays Milk, a compadre of Mitchell's character Hewndricks and bridges the gap for Mitchell's daughter Anja (Annabelle Wolfe).

Instead of creating a more grounded structure, the film realizes itself more with abstract imagery and flashbacks per se with some CG enhancements (whose indications are unclear at best).
